Foot Health Matters is a very well established Podiatry practice based in the South Belfast area of Northern Ireland. The practice is located on Finaghy Road South (at No 26) & is fully owned /operated by Mr Malachy I. O’Mullan.  Malachy graduated with Distinction (in 1984) from the Northern Ireland School of Podiatry.

Foot Health Matters was opened on a part time basis in 1987 & provided evening hours & Saturday's availability.

The practice has developed significantly over the past 35 years & is extensively equipped with the very best podiatric treatment technologies available. Those technologies provide objective diagnostic data on a wide range of foot & lower limb related conditions. With almost 40 years of experience, you can be assured that Malachy will provide a very caring & capable professional service.

Practice developments.

In early 1987, the purchase of the current 'practice premises' on Finaghy Road South was completed.

​

In November 1987, (after extensive refurbishment works) the current practice was opened.

                                 The Practice' operating hours were Mon - Fri, (5 pm - 9 pm) & Saturday’s 8 am - 1 pm.

In the ‘Spring’ of 1998, fulltime ‘Private Practice’ commenced (after Malachy resigned for his position in the NHS)

​

In the Summer of 1998, the practice commenced a 'GP Fundholding' contract with a large 'GP Medical Practice'.

​

In the summer of 2009, extensive internal refurbishments were carried out.

​

In early 2011, 'Online booking' was introduced to provide a simpler 24-7 appointment booking service.  

​

In the Spring of 2018, Malachy celebrated the fabulous milestone of 30 successful years in 'Private practice'.

​

On 23rd September 2022,  Malachy was honoured to received the "Royal College of Podiatry Award"  

                                             The awards ceremony held in the 'House of Lords' (Palace of Westminster, London).

2024 & beyond !

10th January 2024 - (the new completely reconstructed 'Practice Website' went 'Online').

​

Foot Health Matters apologises for any inconvenience that the reconstruct may have caused.

Another milestone approaches in July of 2024.

I can happily look back over my 40 years in 'Professional Podiatry' & can truthfully say "I would do it all again!"

To date, I have had the absolute pleasure of helping many many people across our broad society with simple & complex foot ailments & at the same time, I have also enjoyed the great benefits of a fabulous career and an unending term of employment !
